Steelers quarterbacks are made fun of online on their recent social media posts.
Justin Fields and Russell Wilson needed to have significant seasons on the field prior to the 2023 campaign. They had to perform to maintain their employment because they were all in danger of being replaced by their previous teams. Even though they all had strong moments during the previous season, none of them was able to persuade their former clubs to support them.
The Pittsburgh Steelers badly needed quarterback changes this offseason, and each quarterback appeared to be a solid fit. Both of them signed with Pittsburgh, and their goal for 2024 is to get as much playing time as they can.
Wilson and Fields have both been training extremely hard this offseason, and they recently shared photos of themselves from some of their workouts:
They should be pleased of what they’ve accomplished this offseason, which is probably why they posted these photos, but regrettably, that has made them the target of some jokes on social media.
Social Media Is Making Fun of Fields and Wilson
Despite the fact that Fields and Wilson look fantastic in every one of their most recent posts, their detractors are still making fun of them. Even still, one person on Twitter/X managed to make light of Fields’ apparent good health:
Most players work out hard throughout the off-season, but these two are competing for a starting position, so each has put in more effort this summer in the hopes of being selected.
Since participating in multiple sports during the offseason can help any athlete develop healthy physical habits, it’s becoming more and more common for players to train in those other sports. Wilson has been engaged in boxing training during this offseason, as boxing is one of those sports.
Regretfully, Wilson was also susceptible to certain jests:
Fields and Wilson have had to deal with it at this stage throughout the offseason. They had to find new teams for the 2024 season because they had both lately had difficulties. Jokes like these should serve as a source of inspiration for them as they attempt to turn their careers around this autumn.
In the end, the greatest response to these jokes for both of these quarterbacks is to just utilize them as inspiration. Despite being in different stages in their professions, they are all in the same predicament. They probably already have enough fire in their stomachs for the 2024 season, but this will only put more fuel on it.
