Future Buckeyes excel led by Lyle, McClain, Noland, St. Clair and Boggs
After every weekend during the football season Bucknuts wraps up the weekend that was in high school football focusing on those who will continue their careers playing for the Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes have 23 commitments total for their 2024 recruiting class, four for their 2025 class and one for their 2026 class. Many of those 28 total commitments were in action over the weekend.
There were some outstanding performances and some big wins for the teams several of the Ohio State commitments played on including running back Jordan Lyle, safety Jaylen McClain, quarterbacks Air Noland and Tavien St. Clair and wide receiver Jayvan Boggs.
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Aquinas (RBÂ Jordan Lyle) defeated Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely 40-0. Lyle rushed for 146 yards on just nine carries including a 95-yard touchdown run.
Cocoa (Fla.) (WR Jayvan Boggs – 2025) defeated Dunnellon (Fla.) 35-0. Boggs had a big game with 7 catches for 133 yardsaveraging 19 yards a reception.
Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna (WRÂ Jeremiah Smith) defeated Hollywood (Fla.) Avant Garde 67-0. Smith caught 2 passes for 37 yards averaging 18.5 yards a catch.
Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot (DBÂ Leroy Roker) defeated Estero (Fla.) 44-6. Roker made 3 tackles including 2 solos
San Antonio (Texas) Veteran Memorial (RB James Peoples) lost to Corpus Christi (Texas) Flower Bluff 52-45.
