Chiefs Player Who Tried To Fight His Teammate Sparks Comeback With Taylor Swift Swag Surf
The Kansas City Chiefs did not look like the Kansas City Chiefs during the first half of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. They were sluggish, uninspired and sloppy.
Frustrations ultimately reached a fever pitch and linebacker Willie Gay tried to fight his own teammate during a sideline meltdown. Veteran defensive lineman Charles Omenihu likely called him out for a failed tackle on the goal line that allowed Jake Browning to put Cincinnati ahead 17-7.
Gay did not appreciate whatever Omenihu had to say and had to be pulled away before things escalated even further. It was not a good look for a team that had been on a bit of a late-season slide.
Fortunately, the incident quickly blew over. The Chiefs dialed back in and kept the Bengals off of the board in the second half of a 25-17 win to clinch a playoff birth.
A Swag Surf changed the game!
Gay was a big catalyst in the comeback. He requested demanded that the in-stadium D.J. play the anthem ‘Swag Surfin‘ and told the nearest sideline staffer to get word up to the booth.
