
BLUE GRASS, Iowa (KWQC) – A Muscatine man is dead after officials say his car left the roadway, went airborne and hit a utility pole.
According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:32 p.m. Monday a Nissan Rogue was driving southbound on 70th Avenue approaching the intersection of 165th Street.
Officials said the driver, a 71-year-old man, crossed the center line, drove off the roadway and went into the east ditch.
The vehicle then became airborne, hit a utility pole and came to rest on the driver side. Officials said the man died from his injuries.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
