As of March 27, 2025, there are no reports indicating that Sam Landry, the pitcher for the Oklahoma Sooners softball team, has departed from the program. Landry, who transferred from Louisiana in mid-2024, has been a significant addition to the Sooners’ pitching staff. She earned a career-best 24 wins with a 2.09 ERA in 2024 and led Louisiana in strikeouts with 165.

In the current season, Landry has continued to make impactful contributions. After recovering from an injury that sidelined her during the South Carolina series, she returned to action and delivered a shutout performance against Arkansas, striking out four batters.

The Sooners, under head coach Patty Gasso in her 31st season, currently hold a 29-1 record, including an 8-1 mark in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
