Kevin Love reacted on social media after the Miami Heat bested the Atlanta Hawks in a play-in game to secure a playoff berth. The Heat were able to hold off the Hawks 123-114 in overtime behind 30 points from Tyler Herro. Love did not play in the game due to ongoing personal reasons. With the victory, Miami locked in a first-round matchup with Love’s former team – the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers. After the victory, Love took to X to celebrate the win. “You love to see it!!!” Love said, followed by multiple fire emojis. The Heat finished the regular season with a 37-45 record and now face a tall task against the Cavaliers. Cleveland is minus-2,500 to advance, per BetMGM. Making the postseason is a solid accomplishment for a Heat squad that finished the regular season with a 37-45 record and struggled following the midseason trade of Jimmy Butler. “I know how badly our group wanted to get into this thing,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “I could see it in their eyes and feel it in their heart.” The Heat head into the matchup with the Cavaliers with nothing to lose and some additional confidence after staying alive with two play-in wins. “We did it the hard way. We’re battle-tested,” Miami forward Haywood Highsmith said after beating the Hawks. “We can go anywhere and beat anybody.”
