The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred between a car and truck in Charlotte County.
According to troopers, the crash occurred on Bermont Road and Chiquita Drive at around 2:14 a.m. on Wednesday.
FHP reports that a 20-year-old man from Parrish driving a sedan was traveling west on Bermont Road, west of Chiquita Drive.
A truck driven by a 28-year-old man from Davie was traveling east on Bermont Road, west of Chiquita Drive.
The sedan then crossed the road’s centerline directly in front of the truck, causing a full-frontal collision.
The 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It remains unknown if the 28-year-old sustained any injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
