Scott Parker, born on November 21, 1961, in Flint, Michigan, is a legendary figure in American motorcycle flat track racing. Over his illustrious career from 1979 to 2000, he amassed nine AMA Grand National Championships and set a record with 94 National event wins—a record that still stands. In recognition of his achievements, Parker was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2009.

Notably, in 1992, Parker’s pursuit of a tenth championship was disrupted by a significant incident during the Oklahoma City Half Mile. A crash involving fellow racer Chris Carr led to Parker’s involvement in a chain reaction, resulting in a rare loss of points that season. Despite this setback, Parker’s dominance in the sport remained evident, securing championships in subsequent years.

Beyond his racing accomplishments, Parker co-founded “Back on Track,” a charity dedicated to providing financial assistance to injured motorcycle racers and their families. His legacy continues to influence and inspire the world of flat track racing.
