On Sunday evening, February 23, 2025, a multi-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Seventh Street Road and Wurtele Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky. A passenger vehicle carrying a man and woman was rear-ended while turning left onto Wurtele Avenue. Witnesses reported that the woman who rear-ended them was speeding. The initial impact forced the vehicle into the northbound lanes, where it was subsequently struck by another car. The man and woman in the first vehicle were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital; the man was expected to recover, while the woman was in critical condition. Two other drivers involved in the crash were also hospitalized but were expected to survive.
