As spring keeps churning along for Florida Football, plenty of newish faces are trying to make their mark and boost their stock within the roster. Some of these are true freshmen and/or transfers, while others are guys who were on the roster in 2024 but saw four or fewer games worth of action.

We are going to look at the latter, and here are five players who redshirted in 2024 and could have a big impact on the Gators in 2025.

Webb was slated to be the backup running back to Montrell Johnson in 2024 and, through four games, was treated as such. But an injury against Mississippi State ended his season.

The running back room for Florida will be crowded in 2025, but Webb has the tools to fit right in and can be a bowling bowl in the hole when taking on linebackers.

Amir Jackson

We highlighted Jackson yesterday as a boom-or-bust player for the Gators in 2025. He is a former top 100 overall prospect who took a redshirt in 2024.

But, given how much Florida likes to lean on their tight ends, there should be an opportunity for Jackson to have a big year if he lives up to the top 100 billing.

Smith was a late add in the class of 2024 who was super athletic but also very raw when it came to playing safety. He ended up getting an extended run against FSU and took 49 snaps in that game, registering three tackles.

The safety room for the Gators is a question mark, and if Jordan Castell or Bryce Thornton don’t perform up to par, look for Smith to get some looks in 2025.
