NASCAR announces dates for 2025 races at Darlington Raceway, will return to Rockingham
Darlington’s spring weekend will now occur from April 5-6 with races from the Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series, moving away from its more recent slot over Mother’s Day weekend. The spring event will once again serve as NASCAR’s “Throwback Weekend.”
The fall race weekend, including next year’s Southern 500, will still occur over Labor Day weekend on Aug. 31. The Southern 500 will also serve as the first race in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs as it did in 2023.
The Craftsman Truck Series will also start its playoffs that weekend, with its race on Aug. 30.
“It’s a tremendous honor to have NASCAR return to the track Too Tough to Tame for two race weekends in 2025,” Darlington Raceway President Josh Harris said in a statement. “We take pride in being one of the most historic and challenging venues in all of stock car racing, so being able to put on two amazing weekends at this national treasure is truly special.”
Tickets for next season’s races will go on sale at a later date.
NASCAR also announced that the Xfinity Series and Craftsmen Truck Series will return to Rockingham Speedway on April 18-19 while the NASCAR Cup Series is off for Easter weekend.
