This decision has ignited a wave of discontent among the Gators’ loyal supporters, who believe the hike could make attending games unaffordable for many and potentially diminish the vibrant atmosphere at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

 

The UAA revealed that both season tickets and single-game tickets will see an average increase of 12%, citing the need to cover rising operational costs and to fund ongoing improvements to athletic facilities. This adjustment marks the first major price change in several years, a move that the UAA insists is necessary to maintain the program’s competitive edge in collegiate athletics.

 

In a press release, the UAA stated, “We understand that any increase in ticket prices can be difficult for our fans. However, the rising costs associated with maintaining a top-tier athletic program, including investments in facility upgrades and athlete support services, necessitate this change. Our goal is to ensure that we can continue to provide an exceptional game day experience and support our student-athletes.”
