Amidst Besiktas’ transfer interest, Leeds United and Watford are “closely monitoring” the AC Milan defender.

Leeds United It is said that Watford, Sevilla, and Celta Vigo are among the teams hoping to sign AC Milan left-back Fode Ballo-Toure

According to French publication Foot Mercato, Leeds United and Championship rival Watford are vying for the signing of AC Milan left-back Fode Ballo-Toure. Ballo-Toure is anticipated to leave the Italian powerhouses this summer after falling out of favor at the Rossoneri.

The 27-year-old played for Fulham on loan last season before signing a contract with AC Milan for the summer. Ballo-Toure, however, found it difficult to unseat first-choice option Antonee Robinson at Craven Cottage and made only eight appearances for the Premier League team.

Ballo-Toure chose to leave Monaco in 2021 and joined AC Milan. Only 26 games have he played for the Rossoneri.

The Whites have a history of prioritizing strengthening the left-back position before the transfer window ends at the end of August. As the new season approaches, boss Daniel Farke presently has only Junior Firpo and Sam Byram to pick from. Firpo’s transfer to Real Betis of La Liga has been strongly suggested.

There are just three more weeks till United’s Championship debut against Portsmouth, and they have only signed three new players thus far: Joe Rothwell, Joe Rodon, and Alex Cairns
