The No. 2 seed Marquette Golden Eagles will square off with the No. 15 seed Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Friday in the first round of March Madness in the South region. The Hilltoppers won the Conference USA Tournament Championship to punch their ticket. The Golden Eagles were routed against UConn in the Big East Championship Game, resulting in finishing the season 6-4 in their last 10.
Despite how Marquette ended the season, top-rated sportsbooks aren’t giving the Hilltoppers much of a chance in the game, listing Western Kentucky as much as -point underdogs for the matchup. A lot would have to happen for this one to be an upset, but if the big Dance has taught us anything, it’s to be prepared for anything.
