Celtic player confirmed to have agreed terms to leave.
Many of the players that Celtic now has in its ranks have recently been linked to moves away from the club. Given their recent string of incredible seasons, in which they have won five of the six domestic championships in adversity, it is also easy to understand why. Therefore, it is yet unclear how this summer’s transfer window will pan out.
Jota, who has been a mainstay in each of Celtic’s championship victories over the last two seasons, is one player who has been essential to the team’s success. But if all goes as planned, it appears that his time at Parkhead is about to expire.
There were several rumours about the futures of Reo Hatate and Kyogo but not as many about Jota. Yet, it looks like he is going to be the first one to head out of the exit door and has agreed terms to do so already.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ittihad have reached full agreement on personal terms with Jota. He has accepted the contract proposal. Negotiations are also underway between the clubs on the transfer fee.
Celtic player confirmed to have agreed terms to leave
It is hard to see Jota not joining Al-Ittihad from this situation. His exit from Celtic Park this summer has become pretty much inevitable.
If the rumors are true, it is easy to understand why he might also wish to relocate. Reports have indicated that, should the deal proceed, he will be signing a £10 million-a-year contract.
Conversely, it is anticipated that the transfer fee will exceed £20 million. Thus, even if it appears that Celtic will lose one of their finest players, they will receive a significant return in return.
