Southampton has qualified for the Championship play-off final, and Russell Martin is now determined to once more outsmart coach Daniel Farke.
On Friday night, the Saints defeated West Bromwich Albion, their opponents in the semi-finals, with ease. Martin’s team dominated their opponents after holding them to a scoreless draw in the first leg at the Hawthorns.
Now, under the arch of Wembley, Martin will face his former Norwich manager Farke in a match that only existed in the latter’s wildest imaginations. He stated, “I didn’t envisage it happening five or six years ago when we worked together,” following his team’s victory over West Brom.
