Fabio Silva makes Rangers transfer decision as £20m Wolves update emerges
Fabio Silva isn’t interested in returning to Rangers permanently next season as AC Milan and Sevilla show interest in him, according to Caught Offside.
Writing on their website (16 May), the news outlet report that the Wolves striker would prefer to try a new challenge elsewhere rather than return to Ibrox for the 2024/25 season after spending the second half of this campaign in Glasgow.
Wolves have made him available for transfer and placed a £20m price tag on his head as they battle against PSR concerns, all but ruling Rangers out of the running.
Rangers should plan for life without Fabio Silva
It always seemed unlikely that Rangers would be able to sign Silva permanently in the summer considering how much Wolves spent on signing him initially.
They splashed £35m to sign him from Porto several years ago but he’s never quite made it stick there, despite some successful loan spells away from the club.
Since coming to Ibrox the young forward has been good, nothing more. He’s chipped in with a few goals and assists, but has made headlines more for his theatrics on the pitch than anything else and probably played more than expected because of injuries.
