The Texas Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night, but in the process, they may have lost a number of crucial players from both their rotation and starting lineup.

After just 3.0 innings on the mound, World Series starter Max Scherzer abandoned the game because to lower back pain.

Five innings later, right fielder Adolis García was pulled after injuring his left oblique while flying out to center in the eighth inning.

With just 11 hitters faced and no runs allowed, Scherzer set the stage for the Rangers’ bullpen to have a near-perfect outing.

After Travis Jankowski replaced García, Texas led 3-0 and went on to win 3-1.
