Marner has been off the ice for the last couple of days as his injury hasn’t responded well to being on the ice, according to Keefe.

There is still no clear timeline for when Mitch Marner will be able to return to the Toronto Maple Leafs’ lineup.

The talented forward has been out since Mar. 7 when he reportedly suffered a high-ankle sprain in a 4-1 loss to the Boston Bruins.

“He won’t be coming on the trip with us,” Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said following practice at Ford Performance Centre on Monday.  “We’re trying to get to the point that he’s comfortable throughout the week

“He’s a day-to-day away from being day-to-day.
