No. 23 LSU will hit the road to Missouri this weekend to take on a fiery SEC foe with the opportunity to get a much-needed win.
Brian Kelly addressed the media on Thursday where he provided an injury update on a trio of Tigers.
The Week 6 Injury Report:
Aaron Anderson – Doubtful
Omar Speights – Doubtful
Chris Hilton Jr. – Doubtful
Wide receiver Aaron Anderson suffered a hamstring injury last week while LSU continued game preparation for Ole Miss. The injury held Anderson out of the Tigers’ Week 5 contest with it continuing to linger throughout the week in practice.
Despite Anderson likely out, another wide receiver that was listed on the injury report earlier this week was Kyren Lacy. With Lacy off of the Thursday update, all signs point towards him suiting up on Saturday at Missouri.
The third wideout who was listed on the injury report this week was Chris Hilton Jr. The vertical threat was injured on the final play of the Ole Miss game and it appears he will be out this week. Hilton was seen in a walking boot in the team facility this week.
LSU linebacker Omar Speights is also doubtful for this weekend against Missouri. It’s been a struggle to keep the Oregon State transfer on the field as he continues nursing a hip flexor injury. With Speights likely out this weekend, expect true freshman Whit Weeks to earn his third start of the season.
