The New Orleans Saints will have to make some tough decisions during this offseason. The salary cap will not be their friend, and we could see a plethora of veterans have to hit the road out of The Big Easy. Accordingly, young players must step up for the Saints, including the 2023 draft class.

The class did not get a gleaming review from NFL.com, though. They were ranked the 20th-best class in the league after one season. The Saints’ class was given a “C+” grade from Eric Edholm.

Does it make sense? It sure does. The Saints’ 2023 draft class lacks depth so far.

The day three pick of A.T. Perry is a standout due to his big play ability, and Jordan Howden is a candidate for more playing time at safety. That being said, their third and fourth-round picks of Nick Saldiveri and Jake Haener have not added anything to the team’s production yet.

In a “win now” window by their outlook, that is tough for New Orleans.

Additionally, second rounder Isaiah Foskey struggled to get on the field at all. Injuries hurt his rookie season as well. First-round pick Bryan Bresee was a really good player for the Saints, though, so the helps. He projects to be an important part of the DL for years to come.

Kendre Miller is another tough player to give a true grade to, too. He missed a chunk of the year with an injury. When he played, he was lightning in a bottle. Miller broke open a handful of big plays and is a nice receiver out of the backfield.

Overall, the class is not decided as of yet. Players are not what they are as a rookie for the length of their career, in most cases. That being said,
