Raiders’ star arrested  — weeks after inking contract

Las Vegas police arrested Raiders defensive end Janarius Robinson on Tuesday morning for driving under the influence.

Police told KTNV in Las Vegas that Robinson was arrested on the Las Vegas Strip at 5:59 a.m.

The incident occurred in the valet area of ARIA Las Vegas, which is a resort and casino on the strip, according to KSNV.

Additional details are not currently known, but the arrest comes just days ahead of the Super Bowl taking place at Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders home, and with the NFL world now in Sin City.

“The Raiders are aware of an incident involving Janarius Robinson last night,” the team said in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “The club is in the process of gathering more information.”

The charge against Robinson is listed as DUI of alcohol and/or controlled or prohibited substance, first offense, and is a misdemeanor, according to Las Vegas Justice Court records.

Robinson was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on June 6 at 8 a.m., court records showed.

Robinson’s time with the Raiders had been short, having only been signed to the active roster in December and appeared in Vegas’ final six games of the season.

He started Week 14 and Week 15.

Robinson had spent time with the Vikings and Eagles’ practice squads during the 2022 season after being drafted in the fourth round by Minnesota in 2021 out of Florida State.

He signed to the Raiders practice squad last year, and during this past season, he recorded eight combined tackles and one sack.
