Hammer returns for Arsenal clash

Hammer returns for Arsenal clash and not a moment to soon

Michail Antonio has provided David Moyes with a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal. The Hammers’ frontman has been pictured taking full part in training at Rush Green.

ExWHUEmployee revealed via his Patreon account that the club was hopeful Antonio would be ready for the derby clash. With Arsenal in fine form and Declan Rice returning to The London Stadium, David Moyes could use some good news.

Lucas Paqueta has also been training with his teammates, although it is believed the weekend’s clash against the Gunners may be one game too soon. However, with West Ham desperately searching for a win, the return of Antonio will be most welcome.

Mikey was injured on international duty for Jamaica last year, but his return has taken far longer than expected. The squad is paper thin following the departures of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals. If selected for the squad, it’s safe to assume Antonio will be deployed from the bench.

‘Outstanding’… £7m player shares what his new teammate told him about 32-year-old Man City star

Manchester City beat Brentford on Monday night thanks to a Phil Foden hat-trick – and ahead of the game, Michail Antonio made an interesting admission about Kevin De Bruyne on Sky Sports.

Pep Guardiola‘s side have moved to within just two points of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, and have a game in hand on the Reds.

Foden was the star of the show at the Gtech Community Stadium, after City had called behind thanks to a Neal Mapuay goal.

Foden was sensational, but there were plenty of other top performances from City players.

One such player was Kevin De Bruyne, who contributed a couple of assists for Foden – and before the game, Antonio made an interesting admission about the City talisman…

Michail Antonio asked Kalvin Phillips how good Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne actually is

Last night Antonio was the special guest on Monday Night Football.

The West Ham United striker was on hand to cast his eye over the game between Brentford and City, and he also discussed his own career later on.

Ahead of the game, there was some talk about De Bruyne and how good he’s been so far since he came back from his injury.

Antonio – whom West Ham signed for £7 million – has a great deal of respect for the 32-year-old, and admitted that he actually immediately asked Kalvin Phillips – who has just joined the Hammers on loan – how good he actually is.

He said: “When Kalvin came to West Ham the first thing I said to him is how good is Kevin De Bruyne really. He went ‘outstanding, he sees passes that nobody else sees’. He says all you need to do is run and he will find your feet. When him and Haaland are together, I see an assist!”

Antonio’s remark comes after Phillips stated recently that De Bruyne is the best player he has ever played with.

De Bruyne just as highly rated by his fellow pros

It was nice to hear Antonio admit that he asked Kalvin Phillips about De Bruyne.

Clearly, the Belgian maestro is not just extremely highly rated by supporters, but by his fellow professionals.

With De Bruyne, we are witnessing one of the all-time great Premier League players. He has been the best player in the division now for around four or five years, and some of the things he does on the football pitch still take your breath away.

He has made a brilliant start since coming back from injury and hopefully, he can stay fit and make a huge impact now in these coming months, as City hunt more trophies.
