NBA Trade: Dallas Mavericks Targeting Adding Firepower To Roster For Playoff Push

The NBA champion and former Pacers’ guard Bruce Brown was recently traded in the deal, which sent him along with Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis Jr. and picks to the Toronto Raptors, and in turn, the Indiana Pacers got the two-time NBA All-Star Pascal Siakam.

However, reportedly, many clubs are showing interest in acquiring Brown. One of the teams whose name is coming to the fore in acquiring the talented guard is the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Ahn Fire Digital via NBA insider Michael Scotto regarding the guard, “The Miami Heat were one of the teams I heard in the mix for him. I don’t know how much that changes now following the Terry Rozier trade ’cause…they lost one of the assets they woulda had to dangle for him in that first-round pick down the line.”

“So, the other teams that I’ve heard, certainly the New York Knicks with Tom Thibodeau. … And then you’ve got obviously the Los Angeles Lakers. … They obviously wanted Bruce heavily in free agency with the money that they had available at the time. And then another team that I’ve heard come up, the Dallas Mavericks. They also wanted to get Bruce for the mid-level.”

Brown with the Nuggets had played a fundamental role and together the squad was able to clinch the 2022–2023 season championship. The teams that are on the lookout for talent might find his experience and his successful history with the teams interesting. His shooting percentage from the field is 48.1 and his average is  11.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.
