Doctor shares Mohammed Kudus injury update ahead of West Ham United v Bristol City
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Ham...
West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus will be missing the game against Bristol City on Saturday, 6 January, due to a thigh injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert expects him back in full first-team training soon but the FA Cup clash is too quick for him to be available.
The Ghana international was absent from the matchday squad as the Hammers drew 0-0 against Brighton on Tuesday, 2 January.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“Would expect him back in full training soon.
“He’ll probably sit the one out at the weekend unless he’s already with the team on the grass, but nothing to suggest that.“
Kudus has been in incredible knick for the Hammers this season and David Moyes will be delighted to have him in his side.
Due to his arrival, Jarrod Bowen has been allowed to play in a central role in the absence of Michail Antonio.
This season, Kudus has scored six goals and provided an assist in 10 Premier League starts while six appearances have been off the bench.
