Which Auburn players are out/questionable for the Arkansas game

Auburn is just about as healthy as it has been all season ahead of the Arkansas game.

The Auburn Tigers have dealt with their fair share of injuries throughout the season but the issue seems to have passed them by for now.

The Tigers have as clean a sheet as can be expected at this point in the season with only one player being questionable.

Avery Jones, a senior offensive lineman who transferred to Auburn from East Carolina this offseason, has been the primary center for the Tigers. Jones went down with a leg injury in Auburn’s game against Mississippi State.

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze is optimistic that Jones could be available against Arkansas, but it would be in a limited capacity if he is.

“Yeah, I don’t know yet. I haven’t talked to Robbie (Stewart) and the medical staff yet about it. We probably won’t know until Wednesday or Thursday what Avery’s status is. Connor (Lew) still will play some. I don’t think him being out the last three weeks and particularly when it’s a lower leg injury that he will be ready to go out there and play 60-70 snaps. So if he is available, it still would be a shared responsibility.”

Connor Lew, a freshman from Kennesaw, Ga., has filled Jones’ spot and done a decent job. Lew’s level of play has helped soften the blow of losing Jones.

Auburn’s offensive line play has been improved this season and it is even better when at full strength.
